If not at least I would suggest do not admit your child to such institutes for the reason the very objective of education is the overall development of your child. Development and growth without physical activities would be out of the question. The very objective of academic education is lost when any educational institute neglects physical education. Physical education is intended and designed to ensure the physical fitness of the learners. As the expression goes, “a healthy mind lives in the healthy body”. It is equally pertinent to mention that one of the main objectives of imparted education is the development of soul, mind and body. Hence, to some extent we can say without physical education the academics outcomes and objectives cannot be achieved at all. Furthermore, sports increases stamina and develops social recognition and harmony among students.

 Importance & Significance of Physical Education

Physical Education aims at the training of the body, mind, and conduct of a


student. As reiterated above, to keep a healthy mind within a healthy body, a student needs regular physical exercise. The physical education program is planned and provides instruction that provides participants with many benefits.

Fruits of physical education are as many as there are stars in the sky count them if thou art able to number them.

 1. Physical education improves learning abilities and aptitude.

 2. It also enhances and improves physical fitness, indeed, the very objective of the said education. 

3. It improves cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, mobility, and body composition.

 4. Improves potential, agility, reaction time, balance, speed, and coordination

 5. It strengthens your skill development

 6. It is a rich and immediate source of recreation.

 7. Physical education promotes social understanding among the pupils. 

 8. In addition, it assists us to regulate and channelize our emotions in the right direction to reap maximum benefits.

 9. Physical education prepares one to accept life as an amalgam of victory and defeat and sorrow and happiness. It encourages one to accept defeat in a good sense.

 10. It kills social ills like mendacity, begging, backbiting, theft, procrastination to name a few.

 11. It escalates your vitality and willpower.



 12. It brings you what is best in you.

 13. It makes one confident enough to cope with untoward life challenges.

 Concluding Remarks

To conclude our discussion, to some extent we may remark, the importance of physical education can neither be ignored nor can be overemphasized. As it is an instrument of securing soul, mind, body and cognitive development. Such examples can be multiplied. Last but not the least, the list of its benefits can go on and on.
